The center stone is a 1/2 ctw asscher-cut diamond with two side baguettes. I can't really say this without sounding defensive or like I'm compensating (I'm not, I promise!), but while I'm as starry eyed as the next girl when it comes to big rocks, this ring was made for me--I love it because he designed it to fit me physically (I've got small hands) and who I am as a person. And, of course, I love it because it was given to me by a man I adore!
Art Deco platinum diamond ring, circa 1920s. Old European cut center stone, surrounded by OEC and baguette diamonds, with sapphire accents.
Center Stone: .93 carats, Modified Emerald Cut, Teal Blue (color enhanced), SI-1 Clarity Diamond. Mount: 18k White Gold (6.60 grams), pave set with 1.05 total carats, color G-I, clarity VS-2/SI-1 Art Deco Style. Total carat weight is 2.02 Carats
Very Glittery, Art Deco inspired princess cut ring with twisting side stones x
I was inspired by an Art Deco estate ring. I have always wanted an Asscher cut solitaire but I did not care for any of the modern settings that I saw. My cousin is a jeweler; he was able to take my inspiration and my vision and make the perfect engagement ring!
I found the ring I really wanted on an estate jewelry site: one-of-a-kind, too small, and long since sold.
So I contacted a friend who is a jeweler, asked if she could work with him on this, and this is the result. She added a few details I like (like the wheat grain pattern, and the double prongs), and he added some (like the three tiny diamonds on each side). It's not the same as the ring online: it's MY ring!
If anyone in Raleigh needs a jeweler recommendation, I've got one for you ;)
