Christina’s Pavo Cushion Halo Engagement Ring with Garland Eternity Wedding Band

My ring has a cushion-cut center stone set in white gold and surrounded by pave diamonds. And my fiance let me fully design the ring! This was so special, because I love jewelry.

I saw the ring of my dreams years ago at Cartier. It was a pave halo setting, and the entire underside of setting was covered in pave, as well—no metal was showing from any angle, just pave! I loved this look and we couldn’t find a setting like this anywhere.

After visiting countless jewelers, we decided to work with a CAD specialist and designer at Barsky in Philadelphia. We picked the diamond, and then I got to customize the entire ring around the stone.

I approved the final design, but Mike went to pick the ring up himself. The jeweler did a big reveal for Mike and he got to see the final product. I didn’t get to see it until the big day, which was a total surprise!

The band is 5.4 carat garland eternity

The proposal: I knew it was coming, but didn’t know what he had planned. Mike worked with my best friend to figure out the perfect dayHe had a car pick me up, and I didn’t know where we were going or what we would be doing. The car took me to the Shofuso garden (a gorgeous Japanese garden in Philadelphia). He surprised me there in a suit with the ring of my dreams and even had a photographer there to capture the moment! We then went to dinner at Del Frisco’s (our favorite restaurant). When we got home, Mike had planned a surprise engagement party with the help of my best friend! It was the most amazing day of my life! Read more at http://www.phillymag.com/philadelphia-wedding/2015/03/09/pw-reader-ring-christina-mike/#17yZzqjLpDTD73t0.99

Just got my rings cleaned, what do you think?

My engagement ring’s center stone was my husband’s grandmother’s, so it’s extra special! My wedding band was picked out by my husband. I love it, it’s simple, yet so sparkly. And the engraving was done by hand and really gives it an antique look. The sapphire and diamond band was my 5th anniversary gift, and I think it completes my stack :)
