I Want To Save Money On Cleaning My Engagement Ring

If I use homemade methods to clean my engagement ring will it void my warranty? Do I have to pay an expert to clean my engagement ring and will this cost a lot of money.

Ring maintenence

I think it is a good idea for you to clean your ring at home. Unless you want to take your ring in weekly to maintain the level of sparkle, home cleaning seems like a good idea. I would recommend soaking the ring in a container of hot water and a small amount of dish soap, then gently clean with a soft bristled toothbrush. (making sure to get the underside of the diamond) I cant see how a company would be able to tell you are cleaning off the ring at home. Most companies that sell waranties require you to bring in your ring every 6 months to have your ring inspected and cleaned, but there is no reason you cannot clean your own ring at home. You paid enough for it, why let them tell you how and when you can clean it! :)

How Would The Jewler Know If You Skimp on Professional Cleaning

Do they make you buy a cleaning contract from them?  I wouldn't go for that.  How would they know if you didn't use a professional cleaning service or not?  This is probably just an upsell for the salesperson.
