Remember to protect where you are cleaning your diamond ring, if you are by the sink make sure that the drain is covered to avoid dropping and losing it. I just lost a good ring beacuse of  dog training tips If you find the ring still has some dirt or grim on it try using a wooden tooth pick to gently easy it away then rinse again and pat dry with a lint free cloth.
