What are the spec's on all three rings.  It may not make much of a difference to some but one never knows.  I'm leaning towards the first one, it's simply but elegant.

I would vote on the first as well.

My sister-in-law has a ring similar to the first and it is beautiful! She is so happy with it and has been for the past 5 years. It also works well with a plain or diamond band.

Is she active (sports, outdoors, etc?). The second band is beautiful, but I heard through the "grapevine" that pave bands (although gorgeous) tend to lose diamonds more than plain bands. Don't quote me since I am not a jeweler :o) .

I'd go for the first one. But I noticed all the ones you posted are white gold. Have you looked at any platinum settings? I'm not sure what the third one is but it looks yellowed, and white gold will do this over time... it will yellow. But platinum is naturally white.

I would vote for number one or three. I like number one the best. It is a simple but very pretty ring. I do not like number 2 at all. It is sort of gaudy for an engagement ring. Whatever you pick I am sure she will love it. Good luck to you!

I also like #1 the best, but do not like baguettes .  But, atleast in my own experience, baguettes (step cut) end up losing their sparkle as opposed to a cut similar to a round diamond.  Since choices 1 & 3 are generally the same 3 stone design, have you considered the round center stone with two different shaped side stones - like possibly pear cut or trillion cut... but make the center stone considerably bigger than the side stones shown in this pic (or make the side stones smaller by atleast half - i.e. 1ct center, .5 sides)  I like this "3 stone" design much better than the customary 3 rounds, or even choice 1 with the round and two baguette sidestones...

but here's another idea to confuse you even more lol - have you considered a 5 stone?  it's the new take on the 3 stone, but also somewhat of an antique style...

but with these i think it would look best to stick with just one uniform stone shape - ex) 5 rounds - the biggest is in the center and also mounted slightly higher:

I would strongly suggest you learn about the 4 C's of diamonds first. The stand for the Cut, Color, Clarity and Carat. The cut is the most important of them all as it dirctly influences the way light reacts within a diamond. You can go here to learn more about the cut.
