Not having heard anything abouth this store, I went here in good faith that I would be treated fairly and honestly. I will now check websites like these and the BBB before I think twice about dropping a large amount of money. The owner has 20 years experience of swindeling people. A wolf in sheep's clothing, buyers beware. This was a Customer Service nightmare.

My mother left her diamond engagement ring and wedding band at Solari and Huntington to be resized. A few days later, I left a diamond pendant and very valuable diamond anniversary ring that belonged to my grandmother at the store. They were to fashion a new pendant for me using the diamonds in the ring. However, when we went to pick up the jewelry, they said they didn't know where it was! FIrst Mr. Solari said it was lost. Then later he said it was stolen, but he did not file a police report as far as we know. The jewelry was never returned to us. My mother no longer has her wedding rings, and I do not have my grandmother's ring or my diamond pendant. This has been a nightmare for my family and a painful, stressful experience. We wish we never did business with them. (by J.H.)
Do not shop at Solari & Huntington or work with them in any way! I brought in heirloom diamonds to have a custom engagement ring made and the end result was not at all what the jeweler, salesperson and I had talked about – it was clunky, gaudy and poorly crafted. They initially quoted me $800 - $1000 and when it was finally finished they said it cost $1400! Working with them was very stressful – I had to push for them to finish the ring and they often didn’t return my calls. I ended up having the ring re-made by a different jeweler (Bailey, Banks & Biddle – who did a fabulous job) and wish I had gone there in the first place. (by KH)
