My ring has a cushion-cut center stone set in white gold and surrounded by pave diamonds. And my fiance let me fully design the ring! This was so special, because I love jewelry.
I saw the ring of my dreams years ago at Cartier. It was a pave halo setting, and the entire underside of setting was covered in pave, as well—no metal was showing from any angle, just pave! I loved this look and we couldn’t find a setting like this anywhere.
After visiting countless jewelers, we decided to work with a CAD specialist and designer at Barsky in Philadelphia. We picked the diamond, and then I got to customize the entire ring around the stone.
I approved the final design, but Mike went to pick the ring up himself. The jeweler did a big reveal for Mike and he got to see the final product. I didn’t get to see it until the big day, which was a total surprise!
