Ring Description

Spectacular 1.04 carat cushion brilliant cut diamond engagement ring with micropave halo and micropave split shank consisting of 90 diamonds. Custom made by Olufson Designs in Corvallis, Oregon.

The proposal

My fiance and I had already been planning our wedding for next summer and I had put him in touch with my old friend Sean Olufson in Corvallis, Oregon so that he could make inquiries about an engagement ring. However, in the past couple of months he has been leading me astray as to when I should be expecting the ring on my finger all so he could surprise me with it! We were walking hand in hand to the local ski swap from our condo and he lead us past the ski bar where we meet almost 2 years ago. As we came up on it he started reminiscing about all the good times we've had at the ski bar and how sad it is that the resort is considering tearing the building down to extend the ski slope, and as I turned towards him to agree he said that these were the reasons why this was the perfect place to give me "this", and he pulled the ring box out of his pocket and asked me if I would marry him!! Gasp! I almost said "what?!", but caught myself and said YES! I was so caught off guard that I didn't even cry, amazing! It was so awesome to be surprised when I was positive that he wasn't going to be able to pull it off because I knew the ring was coming....I just didn't know when. Wily bastard! I love him!!
