Ring Description
The center stone is a 1/2 ctw asscher-cut diamond with two side baguettes. I can't really say this without sounding defensive or like I'm compensating (I'm not, I promise!), but while I'm as starry eyed as the next girl when it comes to big rocks, this ring was made for me--I love it because he designed it to fit me physically (I've got small hands) and who I am as a person. And, of course, I love it because it was given to me by a man I adore!

Your Ring
Never feel you have to defend your choices. Your ring is beautiful. I have had 2 carats, 1 1/2 carats, I now have a beautiful .75 carat pear shaped diamond, good clairty and color on a simple tiffany style band. It is classic and understated as yours' is. Your ring looks beautifl and sparkles.
Be proud to wear that ring. We see all the 2 carats and the big rings w/ all their diamonds, but there is nothing like having a sparkler on your finger that draws the right attention. A big diamond draws the attention because of what it is, big. I too am not defending my ring, because I have had those big diamonds and chose a smaller diamond that suits me just as you did.
You and your fiance made a wonderful choice in your ring and wear it with love because this is the man who loves you and has showed you his love.
