I think your ring is very

I think your ring is very pretty.  It's a real shame that some rings (mine included before I took it off this site) don't get a lot of "envies" just because they have a low carat weight.  I personally think that rings with smaller stones are more beautiful than larger ones.

Thank you StaceyCee

Thanks StaceyCee, I'm sorry you feel that way but I understand. I know my ring isn't the biggest but as you can see I think it looks great on my finger and its a perfect size. I would be scared to have something bigger on my finger! I am only young and we decided on a better clarity that bigger size, plus as soon as I put this ring on my finger that was it and I was originally planning on a 1ct. I remember your ring and it is beautiful. Wear it in good health and with love for the person that gave it to you, doesn't matter what size it is! Plus we know these photos don't do our rings justice!

Thank you for the compliment

Thank you for the compliment on my ring.  I was afraid people would think that my fiance and I broke up after I took my rings off.  I may repost new and different pics in the future.  My fiance had the same theory in that he purchased a GIA certified D-color diamond rather than putting that money towards a bigger size.  Plus, this size stone is perfect on this setting.  VVS1 is a great clarity score.  Mine's an SI1, but it's eye clean.  I do love my ring and love the fact that my fiance dedicated so much time and research to find the perfect ring for me.  If you don't mind my asking, did you have any input when it came to picking out the ring?  Or did your fiance do it all on his own?

My ring

I am a very picky person and my fiance knows that so he actually first proposed 6months ago with a piece of string a spur of the moment thing! He then bought me a promise ring that he chose that is gorgeous and from then we went ring shopping as it is a ring I will be wearing the rest of my life. He however had to like it and give it the final go ahead. But as soon as I put on this ring that was it, we both knew it was the one even though we tried on a lot more expensive and bigger rings.

When we first started

When we first started dating, my fiance told me he would let the woman pick out the ring.  I said that I would want him to pick it out and do it the traditional way. He already knew before hand that I liked yellow gold and an oval shaped diamond.  I like how you guys did it too.
