Ring Description

My husband to be surprised me with a 1.23 carat center stone with thin micropave band. I love love love the thin band with the rectangular shape of the center stone. It is exactly what I wanted! We plan on getting 2 matching bands to go on each side of the engagement ring to create the stacked look that I love!

Thank you so much!  He knew what I liked and couldn't find it anywhere. He's in the military and leaving this week to go to Iraq for a year.  He didn't have time to order the ring because the jeweler said it would never make it back in time for him to give it to me before he left.  So he picked out the diamond and band he wanted for me and after alot of stressing on his part and the jeweler's, they finally made it work!

My boyfriend and I just purchased a 3-carat loose stone. I was going to have it placed in the tiffany's novo setting but from the side, it looks very industrial because it has a thick upward slope of metal. Our jeweler said he could give it a "lighter" look by removing the chunk of metal, but still keeping it cathedral, but I'm not sure if I'll like it. Would love to see yours...

Here are more photos of the setting.  My main concern was that I would be able to wear straight bands with the setting, so I'm very happy with it!
