Ring Description

This was a set that took my husband months of planning, searching and shaping. The engagement ring is a 3ct asscher cut diamond flanked by two graduated baguettes surrounded by 22 ideal round diamonds. The two bands have 18 ideal round diamonds each. The total carat weight for the entire set is 3.75 carats. The bands were part of my original wedding set where my engagement ring was a 3ct princess cut blue topaz. The bands were purchased from a completely different setting entirely, but in each of my setting they have always looked like they were a complete set. He is definitely a keeper.

The proposal

When my husband and I first met, I was not looking for a relationship in any way shape or form. After two years of being best friends I realized that there was something really special about him. I informed our mutual best friend that I was interested and the next day he asked me out. The rest is a bit of a blur, lol. Having been best friends for so long, we completely bypassed the whole "dating thing" and went straight to the altar. Getting married began as a joke: "I'll give you 15 years to stop rubbing my back" I would joke to which he'd reply "Is that a proposal?". This went back and forth for a month or two before we looked at each other and he said "Why don't we get married?". I suppose I didn't have the hugely romantic proposal, but I wouldn't trade it. That was going on five years ago and we are just as happy now, as we were then.

The Asscher center diamond is beautiful.  From your description, it is a very rare find.  Congratulations on your ring, and even more so, your union.
