Pam's Engagement Ring
Ring DescriptionIt's a custom made ring, round brilliant center stone and tiny pave diamonds on the band 
 The proposalMy boyfriend and I were vacationing in Europe. The night we got to Switzerland I told him I wanted to plan the next day's activities, but asked him if there was anything he really wanted to see during our short stay in Interlaken. He said he wanted to make it to the top of Schilthorn Mt. because it has amazing views. Thinking nothing of it, I planned the trip up and a few sites to visit along the way. The trip to Schilthorn involved three train changes and multiple gondolas up to the top. As we traveled up, my boyfriend was becoming increasingly antsy, pacing around the cable car-I had no idea why. When we reached Schilthorn we were let out on the Piz Gloria (pictured above), and he led me over to the overhang. The wind was freezing, so I told him I was going to put on my gloves. He stopped me, stated that he had an important question to ask me, and got down on one knee. The rest is a little blurry, but he says that before I said yes, I reached out, grabbed the ring, and put it on! (haha) Anyway, Im not sure if that part is true, but I do know the proposal was awesome. |

I live in Wilderswil, Switzerland in the center of paradise.
It is a small village just outside Interlaken.
We host and photograph weddings at the Schilthorn as well, so if you wanted to hire someone for a few hours to take honeymoon photos during your visit.
We also have a lovely holiday house. quite nice for romance. A double shower, sauna, whirlpool jet bathtub, large screen tv.

We stayed in Interlaken and Zermatt. While in Interlaken, we stayed at the Beau Rivage...nice place, but we didn't ski there. We took a train to Muren, and skied in Muren, and then took the train back to Interlaken.
While in Zermatt, we stayed in a cozy little place called the Walliserhof. If you really want luxury, Zermatt is THE ski resort. Its their version of Aspen. Very picturesque town (no cars allowed), with amazing skiing.__________________________________________________________

Pam, your ring is absolutely fantastic! I am having my engagement ring re-done (it is similar in concept to yours), because it is quite a bit heavier than I would like. The relativity of your delicate band to the main diamond is a perfect design. If you can, would you mind sending me a photo of the ring from the side - as though you are looking directly at the hole? I want to see how the 6 prongs meet the band, since the band is so fine. I would be so grateful! I have not been able to find any ring like yours anywhere online. Well, my camera is being borrowed right now, so I cant post pics now, but I can tell you its a pretty tall crown. I will post pics in three days though, when my fam gets back! Thanks for the compliments!
