Ring Description

This ring has a 0.5 carat marquise in the center with a 0.25 carat marquise on either side. It then has 3 small diamonds in the shape of a triangle on either side of the .25 carat marquise.

The proposal

My husband is in the Navy and we had already decided to get married before he left for boot camp even though I wasn't able to get my ring until about a month after he graduated from boot which was the official proposal date. We were on his Naval base in Great Lakes, IL for the fourth of July celebration on a blanket with my mother and father. Up until that day I had been wearing my mother's engagement ring and when I was sitting in front of Bryan he kept fiddling with my ring. Confused, I asked what in the world he was doing and he said he was trying to take my ring off which was even more confusing. I figured he wanted a good look at it because he hadn't seen it until that weekend so I took it off and handed it to him. Only then did he slip my real engagement ring on my hand and I understood what was happening. I was scared to look at it first but after he did his little spill about how much he loved me and asked me to marry him (for the second time : ) I looked at my ring and was entirely breathless. It still takes my breath away today.
