My fiance’ and I are wanting to take a cruise out of Tampa on March 23,2009 for our honeymoon.. We’ve been looking into the Carnival Inspiration or the Royal Carribbean. Are all cruises all inclusive? (i.e. dining etc.)

Yes all cruises are all inclusive. The only thing that isn’t included is alcohol (although there are some cocktail receptions.. generally you have to be in the freuqent cruisers club to qualify for these.. and they do give u a free glass of champagne when you get on board). And also SOME entertainemnt things aren’t included, like spa packages or special classes. I like to drink, tho, so if you do I would put aside at least $500 for alcohol, because drinks aren’t cheap.

    i would say "mostly".
some of the luxury lines out there like cunard, seaborne, silverseas cruises really are "all inclusive" meaning they supply the wine, champagne, soda drinks, and all meals, and entertainment.

main stream cruise lines like carnival, princess, holland america include meals, some beverages(coffee, tea, milk at mealtimes)., and entertainment.

things that are not included are: anything from the "bar" alcoholic drinks, sodas, souvenirs, tips, spa treatments, internet access, some "specialty restaurants". the specialty restaurants you make a reservation for and then you pay a certain amount for each person for dinner.

    hope this helps.
cruisecritic.com has lots of great info for FREE also.

Regardless of which cruise line you select, Carnival or Royal Caribbean or some other, the things that are included are pretty much the same. The price of your cruise includes your cabin, all meals (including breakfast, lunch dinner, snacks and free room service), free admissions to all shows and entertainment, and free use of all facilities on ship except spa services. The things that you will have to pay for are:

GRATUITIES: They will amount to about $10 per person in your cabin per day; about $70 each for a 7 day cruise. When you check in at the pier they will set up an on-board charge account for you to cover any and everything you may buy on ship. They will issue you a "cruise card" which will also serve as your room key and pass to get on and off the ship. At the end of the cruise they will add the gratuity to your tab and you can pay with a credit card or cash, your choice. So everything on ship except the casino is cashless; everything you buy goes on your account.

ALCOHOLIC DRINKS AND SOFT DRINKS: Coffee, tea, milk, juice, and lemonade and punch will be provided free but you must pay for soft drinks and alcoholic beverages and they will add a 15 percent gratuity to each drink and soft drink order.

PHOTOGRAPHS: Cruise lines will take plenty of photographs of you all over the ship, in the dining room, and as you exit the ship in ports. These will cost a lot, like $15 to $20 for most.

TOURS/EXCURSIONS: You are not required to book any tours and can get off and on in the ports as much as you want. But the cruise line will offer a lot of tours and these are expensive.

SOUVENIRS: Anything you buy on ship from a gift shop or duty free shop goes on your on board account. Things that you buy on shore you pay cash or credit card for.

CASINO: If you plan to gamble on ship you will need cash for that.

OTHER: most cruise lines have what they call "specialty" restaurants where there is a gratuity/service charge per person each time you eat there. BUT, all other food on board is free and its not really necessary to budget for food; you cannot eat all of the FREE FOOD that will be available.

SPA SERVICES: If you want/need to have your hair done, get a massage or wrap, or any services from the spa, you will have to pay for them. You can use the gym free but the spa stuff cost big bucks.

INTERNET SVCS: Ships now have internet cafe and some have WiFi but the there is a fee for internet access and it is very expensive (like about $50 an hour).

You cabin will likely have a minibar with soft drinks and munchies; you have to pay for them (but there is free room service 24/7).

All the cruises include almost the same, the extras are what already the ohter people answered.

What is very important is to ask yourself what kind of cruise doy ou want?

    1. Elegant or casual?
    2. Have table assigned for dinner or eat whenever you want dresses as you wish.
    3. I want to have young passengers partying all day or more adult relaxed cruise.

These questions are important specially for your honey moon, I have been in Royal Caribbean and Princess Cruises.

Royal Caribbean: Young people more casual.
Princess Cruises: Adult environment, elegant, less passengers.
Carnival Cruises: Young people, lots of parties (Teenagers).
Celebrity Cruises: same as above without rules as far as dressing codes.

I hope this informatoin is usefull, happy honey moon.

Your cruise fare includes: your cabin, on-board entertainment outside of gambling, including bingo, standard meals and beverages.

What your fare does not include:
To help you budget…here are a few of the "extra costs"-
    - Bar drinks - $4-12 each plus 15% gratuity
    - Soda - by the can - $1.75 plus 15% gratuity
    - Soda fountain card - $38.50 plus 15% gratuity
    - Photos - $7.99 to $21.99 (depending on size and style)
    - Shore excursions - $50-200 per person per excursion.
    - Spa treatments - $50-200 per treatment (but there were many specials on this last trip as many people were skipping the spa…)
    - Casino. Use cash in the casino to avoid 3% fee for using card.
    - Bingo cards - $5-20…depending on day and games
    - Goument coffee - $3.75 and up
    - Internet - 75 cents per minute
    - Ship to shore phone - $7.99 per minute
    - Parking at the port
    - Tips for luggage porters - $1 per bag
    - Tips - $70 per day per guest

You can spend as much or as little on the cruise as you want.

You can manage your spending better if you open a cash account when you board instead of linking your on-board account to a credit card. When you reach your spending limit, the purser’s office will send a note to your cabin. You can add more cash or stop spending.

When your on-board, if a server asks you for your Sail and Sign card, then you are most likely being charged for the item or service.
