Anyone ever not been satisfied with your wedding photographer?

I was married on the 29th and got the proofs this morning in my email. They are horrible. There are faces cut off, cars in the background(from parking lot) and most of the shots have scenes cut off, like a fountain top/ cake topper, etc..
I have called the company, and they are going to have a manager get back to me.
I should have seen this coming though, because the photographer I had originally picked, did not show up the day of the wedding, and they sent some other guy in his place. THey still do not have an explanation as to where this other guy was.
Anyways, how would you guys try to solve this? Should I demand my money back? Or just suck it up? I have other beautiful photos from like family and friends that have been sent to me. I guess I expected better quality. Thanks for any and all input.
*should have been "anyone ever not been satisfied with your wedding photographs?"
We paid 35 dollars for this guy. So its not like it was cheap.

i would definitely ask for my money back. im not really grest at standing up for myself in situations like that, but you shouldnt have to pay for pictures like that! especially if you photographer didnt show up and you got that guy, how do you know his experience? dont suck it up!

my sisters photographer didn’t get any pictures of them together! Just as they were walking down the isle!!! We didn’t even think of it till later. He did get all the family photos though…dumb asz. She was pissed, but that’s what you get when you hire a friend who knows everyone at the wedding I guess. Maybe they can crop some photos for you and touch up some car removals or something! Hope it works out!

Yes, my photographer messed up and all of my pictures were ruined. They gave me a complete refund which I appreciated but it didn’t give me the pictures, you know?

Wow, I’m really sorry. That’s a total bummer. I would definitely call up the company and demand some sort of compensation. This is not a good way to do business! Did you have a contract with a specific photographer? I would bring that up if you did.
I’ve got a contract with my photographer and luckily he works for himself so there won’t be any fill-ins.

I think the reason why no one is initially happy with their wedding photos is because everyone expects the "photoshopped" quality that are in magazines….everyone expects EVERYTHING to be perfect and when the photos aren’t exactly right, theie not happy with them.
I don’t know many people that were intially happy with their wedding photos but, don’t worry, in a few days you will have your favourites and think they’re cool. Show some friends and I’m sure they won’t see anything wrong with them.

Wow. What does it say in your contract? Read what was agreed upon. I would get my money back. Especially if the photographs were not professional looking. I would also contact the Better Business Bureau to file a complaint as well so other brides know not to go with your photographer.

Speak up. After all they are your wedding pictures. Let them know you expected professional work and that’s not what you got. They should offer some type of refund. And like the others said check your contract. Good Luck

I have to ask because my cousin has just hired a photographer and she is from the shore and I am now concerned that she may have hired the same one as you. Can you email me with the name of the company you have hired?

That really sucks. I would try and get my money back. The only problem I had with my photographer (my uncle) was that he was more concerned with getting family pictures. I spent most of the reception taken pictures then enjoying the night. It would have been okay if the pictures were done in the same room as the reception, but they were done in the foyer so we couldn’t even see all the stuff that the other family and guest were doing. But hey, they were free, i can’t complain.

I wasn’r happy with my sisters wedding photos and she thinks they look great. I guess you get what you paid for. I’m paying 5 thousand dollars for my pictures they better look great.

I would be pissed off as all He**! Not only did they stress you out more on your wedding day they also took the way to remember your wedding away by doing such a bad job on the pictures. You dont have to suck it up! Throw a bitch fit! Call the manager, call the owner, and definatly call the BBB. If your happy day was ruined by them why should they be given the chance to do that to others!

Oh my gosh, definitely ask for your money back. For the fact alone that your original photographer was not there. Were any of his photo’s good? If you liked any, I guess you could buy a couple prints or something. But only if you want to, get your money back honey, you shouldn’t have to pay for a photographer that sucked.
