• Can you put a diamond ring in a rock tumbler to polish it?

    I polish rocks and silver frequently using 400 or 80 grit (or what ever) I was wondering if I could put my engagement and wedding ring in it to clean and shine it. Or will it loosen the stones? What grit should I use if this is feasible? Thanks for your help!

    Please tell me you’re kidding.

    Take it to a jeweler’s and they’ll clean it out the correct way.

    NOOOOOOO! Just use an old toothbrush and some paste toothpaste (not the gel).
