Yes I love my rings. They are just simple diamond rings but what I love more that I think of my hubby when I look at them.

My engagement ring is exactly what I always wanted… three square cut amethysts!!! Its beautiful, if I do say so myself. Diamonds have never really impressed me, so I didnt mind not following "tradition".

Absolutely~ It was created from his grandmothers wedding band and my grandmothers with plain gold and diamonds that have not only traditional but sentimental value. A true keepsake!

Only just got engaged but yes, I love the ring! It wasn’t quite what I had envisaged but I love the fact that my fiance took two days off work to research rings and he really picked something that suits my style and taste perfectly. The fact that he put so much thought into it makes me love it more than anything I could have picked myself. (White gold brilliant cut .64 carat (circle) with a twist.) Now I just need to pick my wedding ring - plain band or diamonds? Decisions decisions! :)

    Of course

    yes

I dont have an engagement ring because I refuse to wear one. I dont really wear jewelry and keeping track of a wedding ring would be stressful enough without adding another ring.

Oh my goodness yes, but to be honest I would have loved anything he gave me.

We dated for four years leading up to our engagement, we lived together for 2.5 years. We talked about what I liked and disliked and what he liked and disliked. And I can say he did splendid!!!

Its a 3 stone princess cut diamond ring set in white gold with 4 channel set princess cut diamonds on either side of the 3 main setting of diamonds. Its BEAUTIFUL and more than what I expected, when really after four years I would have been tickled with anything, because really all that matters is how much we love each other. lol

I absolutely LOVE my engagement ring.

My wedding band is pretty and I do really like it, but because of our budget it is a "stand in". My engagement ring is an odd shape and a custom made wedding band is out of our price range right now so I have to move my engagement ring to my right hand and wear the wedding band we picked until we can afford the wedding band that fits with my engagement ring.
My fiance even agrees with me - we have selected a lovely band, but even he wants to see me with my wedding band & engagement ring together.

  • kikismom 11:03 am on December 9, 2009 |

Absolutely. My fiance designed my ring and had it custom made for me. I know that he put a lot of thought into what I would like which means to much to me. I have a ring that is totally unique and not something you would walk into a store and find.

Yes…..altho I have quite a nice collection of fine jewelry, and some of my rings have ‘presence’,(the hubby has added to my collection) the engagement ring I received was sentimental more so than spectacular and the thought he put into it personalizing it makes it outshine all my other fancy dancy ‘rocks’, even tho by comparison it’s a modest ring.

A two stone yellow gold bypass with a swirl of round diamonds to accent the two heart shaped stones. They are a peridot, my birthstone, and a garnet, his birthstone.

My original wedding band is a simple plain polished yellow gold band. I have since received several fancy ‘bands’- one swirled with round & baguette diamonds, one with a row of round peridots flanked by white sapphires on each side, and a celadon jade band accented with oval peridots, and two eternity bands I use as ring guards, or singly as a band or stacked together for more ‘bling’…..the original is by far my sentimental favorite.

yes i do, it is a white gold band with a 1 carat cushion cut aquamarine in the center surronded by halaf a carat of diamonds. I am not a diamond girl but the surronding diamonds gives it the sparkle it needs. but what it represents means way more than the asethetics

  • Goddess 11:03 am on December 9, 2009 |

Yes, just don’t get me started on the husband though!

  • titania_woodland_fairy_queen 11:03 am on December 9, 2009 |

    yes!

people about fall over when they see my engagement ring. It is a beautiful 1 carat princess cut solitaire. the cut is considered ideal. it is H in color and VVS1 in clarity. My wedding band is a simple gold band and truly my ONE CHOICE. It originally belonged to my great grandmother and is over 100 years old. She wore it until the day she died in 1952 and then it was given to my grandmother who wore it until the day she died in 2007. I have been waiting for years to wear it. No matter how simple it is it symbolizes over 100 years of happy marriages.

It was exactly what i wanted. My fiance hand-picked all the diamonds that went into the ring (worked as a jeweler for a few years) It’s a large 3 stone brilliant cut diamonds with diamonds lining the sides of the band (2.1carats). 14ct white gold. It’s beautiful! I couldn’t imagined anything better for me!

  • Sweet_Di 11:03 am on December 9, 2009 |

yes i do cause he gave it to me with so much love. he bought what he could afford.

  • SwingTyAAR 11:03 am on December 9, 2009 |

Yes. It is exactly what I wanted- something unique and not something anyone else will have. And my wedding band (which we bought after we got engaged) was meant for my engagement ring.

Yes my fiance wanted platinum when we got engaged but I picked the style, a simple princess cut diamond 1.05 carat.
Our wedding bands were really really expensive but we designed them between us and had them made specially, they are platinum with 18ct gold band in the middle and mine has 5 diamonds and my husbands has one.
They are engraved with the words "mia miracola 6.6.09" meaning "my miracle" and our wedding date on my wedding ring and on my husbands is the gaelic "mo anam cara 6.6.09" which means my soul mate" and our wedding date.
So special to us, my husband is Italian and my mum was Irish.
