Universal Studios Orlando on a budget?

My fiance and I want to go on our honeymoon to Universal Studios in Orlando at the end of April, but we are on a tight budget. Do you guys have any tips on how we could make the trip and not spend a lot of money? I did a search for Vacation Packages (4 day/3 night) but the tickets, hotel, and airfare all seem a little high.
Also, how expensive is the food and such within the park? I’ve been to Disney World quite a few times and remember how expensive everything is in there.

are you over 23 ? if you are over 23 and married you can sign up for time shares where if you sit through the presentatoin, you get free or very discounted tickets to all the theme parks plus transportation.
some other tips are staying in international drive - most hotels provide shuttles to all parks and attractions so there is no need to rent a car.
all parks are expensive as well as the food and drinks there so when you get there buy a water bottle with a bunch of refills through out the day which are free or very cheap. that saves some $ as well
enjoy!

Inside the park prices are high wherever you go.. If i was going on a budget and had the time I would sit through the sales pitches for timeshares that will get you free tickets to the park… eat breakfast at one of the places on International Drive before I go to the parks… bring a small cooler that I can throw a couple of waters in and put it in a locker inside the park…. Be at park as it opens stay until 1-2 pm and leave for lunch… go back to parks for the night and eat a light snack somewhere in place of dinner
