    Traditionally, one wears the engagement ring on the third finger of the left hand. After marriage, the wedding band is worn on the same finger, with the engagement ring on the outside, (so that the actual wedding ring is closer to the heart.)

    Wedding rings always go on the left hand on the finger next to your little/pinky finger.

    So when you are engaged put it on that finger but once you get married you can either put your engagement ring away for safe keeping or put it on the right hand instead.

    the left ring finger. they both go on the same finger and the engagement ring stays there after you’re married, you just add the wedding band.

    the engagement ring goes on the left hand on the ring finger. After you get married the wedding band goes on the same hand and same finger but it goes underneath the engagement ring. The reason that the left hand and the ring finger is what is used is because the ring finger on the left hand has a vein that runs straight to your heart and it shows that you have already gave your heart to someone.

    I think this varies in different cultures. Here in America, we wear our engagement and wedding rings on the left ring finger (the one next to the pinky). On the other friend, I have a friend from Argentina who wore her engagement ring on her right hand but now wears her wedding ring on the left hand.
