• What is a good cheap cruise line for my fiance and I to go on our honeymoon?

My fiance and I are wanting a small mini honeymoon. We can’t afford a big lavish honeymoon that we dream of for about 18 months because we have to save. We are wanting to do something that doesn’t cost us an arm and a leg. We are looking for an inexpensive cruise that we can go on after our wedding and enjoy ourselves. I was looking at Carnival but I have heard that even though it’s a budget cruise line, it is still more expensive than most, and it has a cheesy Vegas feel to it. We don’t want that! If any one has any ideas that would be great.

"Good" and "cheap" are seldom found in the same cruise. Since you seem to have plenty of time to plan, I suggest you get together with a travel agent in your area who books a lot of cruises. It costs nothing, and a good travel agent can answer all your questions, provide all sorts of information you need, and help get you booked on the cruise that best meets your budget, your interests, your preferences, and your schedule. Each cruise line has its own "personality" — formal and traditional to very laid back and informal — and its own catagory of passengers (with a lot of overlap) — party-hearty, young families, middle age, elderly.

By the way, booking early is much less expensive than booking later! The "last minute" deals you see on the internet are good prices, but for the least desirable cabins on board. And like regular housing, location really does count! Book early for the best price and the best selection of cabin!

If you don’t have passports, get them! It can take a while, and if you have it in hand you have a lot of freedom!

Take a Royal Caribbean cruise from Florida to the Caribbean. You can find good deals if you can go during the off-peak season. Royal Caribbean ships have the most amenities as well as great entertainment. A good site to check out the deals is in link.

Good and cheap do not really go together. There are some very cheap cruises such as the Bahamas on Caribbean Cruise Lines (NOT ROYAL CARIBBEAN). Stay away from them.

You can probably find a Mexican Riviera cruise on a major cruise line for under $500 a person for 7 days. There are even some 3 and 4 day cruises out of the LA area.

There are tons of deals out there. I prefer Princess because I also do not like cheesy, Las Vegas type looks. Probably some of the best inexpensive cruises would be to Mexico if you live on the West coast, or the Caribbean if you live on the East coast. Do remember that cruises usually are cheaper then going to a resort because most everything is included. If you don’t drink alcohol, or very little, the only extra expense is tips and whatever you buy on the ship. Soo, for the two of you look for a 3 or 4 day cruise. Often cruises go for under $100 a day per person. Remember you only have 1 honeymoon(hopefully).

Not sure where your getting your info from, but Carnival has the best bang-for-the-buck in the cruise industry. In addition, Carnival has some of the largest interior rooms.

Royal Caribbean cruises will run you almost double what you’d pay on Carnival. However, you’ll have a few more options on activities.

If your looking at inexpensive, Carnival is the hands down favorite.
