Perfect time of the year for the Caribbean. Hurricane season has come and gone and the weather is great there at that time of the year.
Try and stay away from the April school vacations (Easter Break) in Cancun though. Also some of the resorts book early as it is a popular vacation week as well.
I would recommend an all inclusive resort perhaps something on St. Lucia, Antigua or Jamaica. Lots to select from based on your budget and the style of the resort. Some only cater to "couples". LOL It’s a great way to relax and not worry about the costs. It’s all prepaid and included.
Also don’t rule out a Caribbean cruise. Great deals and the price can include your airfare, transfers to and from the ship, the weeks cruise with a selection of Islands, all your food and entertainment. You get to sample a few Islands and depending on your selections can be on a different one each day. It’s a great way to sample the Caribbean Islands without the hassle of packing and unpacking an checking in and out of airports and hotels.
The airfare alone to Thailand is costly and you can find some air inclusive packages to the Caribbean for much less than the overall cost of a trip to Thailand. Save that for the Anniversary when you most likely will have more money and time! While there are some beautiful beaches in Thailand (Phuket for instance) the costs would be more than the Caribbean at an all-inclusive resort.
Also Thailand in April is something I would avoid, unless you plan to be permanently submerged in the ocean, because this is the hottest month across the country.
Either way you will need a passport unless you are destined for Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, St. John or St. Croix. Those are some great Islands as well (Especially St. John for beaches). Plan ahead for that if you don’t already have one. Passport Offices are already experiencing great delays due to high demand.
Good luck and much happiness and make your reservations with confidence in the Caribbean.

Welcome to my country
I live in Laos near Thailand.
If you prefer local traditional, nature, and the cheapest living cost you can come to Laos. You can see many of temples, old buildings and a hundred of monks in the morning, and very nice water fall, you can see all of these in Luangprabang and vangvieng and many place around my country. Especailly in April we have a traditional festival called Bounhotnam ( pouring water) to all people on the street, include monks and buddha.
And the special one are the suveniers. there are alot of silver ware, goldern, earthenware, Lao silk in very low price.
Let’s come.

You can visit India . The backwaters of Kerala is beautiful and you have house boats too . But if you want the beach , you can try Goa . Its one of the major tourist spots in India. The Andaman Islands are beautiful. You can check these places on the internet. India is hottest during April - May. It’s peak summer in India during these months. Happy Honey mooning

Thailand and Caribbean are good options. I would add India to that list. Check here for excellent options - all inclusive options cost less than $25 a day
