My now-husband is an avid hunter. His only condition for the groom's cake was that it be vanilla with chocolate icing. I was lucky enough to come across some really cute cake toppers that fit his personality. The cake was delicious!
I really hope that the previous poster is only joking due to the fact that this is a GROOMS CAKE. Which is usually unique and/or funny or relevant to the groom. It is ridiculous to say this makes a mockery of a wedding. I think this is so cute, good choice!
We are all entitled to our own opinion, and I find nothing funny about killing helpless animals, whether it's on a wedding cake, grooms cake, birthday cake or any type of cake.
I respect that you think this cake is cute, and would hope you respect my opinion as well (by not saying it's ridiculous). There's no reason for us to go back and forth about it--to each his own.

I didn't realize this website was for negative opinions of someone else's most important day! Hence the name ringenvy.com. Here's a piece of advice for Carebear84 and the_becoming (which I'm sure you were taught at some point in your life): "If you can't say something nice, then don't say anything at all." My husband hunts legally. He doesn't raise cattle and chickens with growth hormones only to turn around and slaughter them for mass production. I believe your political agenda belongs on a different website. Maybe the NRA's domain?
I find it funny that you can be so unbelievably offended by a cake.....sugar and flour. Really?! I'm assuming you're both vegetarians since you're disgusted by plastic figurines at the top of my groom's cake. If not, then be sure to remember your own words "disgusting", "offensive", and "mockery" the next time you chow down on a hamburger, steak, calamari, shrimp, porkchops, BBQ ribs, etc. Oh and if you own anything leather.... "MOO!" I'll add a new word to your limited vocabulary: "hypocrite".
